Hiring: Manager of Childcare Operations

Huckleberry Coast Childcare Society is hiring for the position of Operations Manager. This part-time role (20 hours/week) is responsible to the Board of Directors and works in collaboration with the daycare centre’s Programs Manager to develop and implement systems that support daily operations; the successful applicant has experience working in non-profits, supervising staff, managing budgets and grant writing. Flexible schedule with work-from-home capacity but requirement to be on-site once weekly, 5 weeks of unpaid holiday, fantastic community. Salary of $25K – $30K commensurate with experience.

Hiring: Early Childhood Educator and Early Childhood Educator Assistant

Huckleberry Childcare is located in the picturesque heart of Gibsons, with a view of the sea and close to many parks and amenities. The centre operates Monday to Thursday from 8-4pm. Huckleberry Childcare provides families in the area with a loving, playful and bright childcare atmosphere. We are also the umbrella organization for the Arts Building, offering creative workshops and special events to the greater community on weekends. Children play in the specially designed “Art & Play Garden” which features a natural playscape. Our 16 space facility is licensed for Group Care for children aged 30 months and older. Full-time, part-time and casual positions are available.
